Amar led the controller implementation at Nicira which was subsequently acquired by VMware and has been involved in software networking for over a decade. Amar holds a masters from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an undergraduate degree from IIT Kharagpur, India.

Brian Barritt is a software engineering manager at Facebook Connectivity where he supports the open source Magma project. Magma’s mission is to connect the world to a faster network by enabling service providers to build cost-effective and extensible carrier-grade networks. Prior to joining Facebook last year, he was a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Alphabet. At Google he founded the Temporospatial Software Defined Networking infrastructure that powered terrestrial millimeter-wave and several non-terrestrial networks, including Loon. Brian has more than 15 years of experience in advanced wireless networks. Prior to joining Google in 2014, he led engineering programs at Cisco and for NASA's Space Communications and Navigation program. Brian earned an MBA in Management of Technology & Innovation from the University of Minnesota and BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
Bruce Davie

Bruce Davie is a computer scientist noted for his contributions to the field of networking. He recently co-founded Systems Approach, LLC, to develop open source computer science educational materials. He is a former VP and CTO for the Asia Pacific region at VMware. He joined VMware during the acquisition of Software Defined Networking (SDN) startup Nicira. Prior to that, he was a Fellow at Cisco Systems, leading a team of architects responsible for Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). Davie has over 30 years of networking industry experience and has co-authored 17 RFCs. He was recognized as an ACM Fellow in 2009 and chaired ACM SIGCOMM from 2009 to 2013. He was also a visiting lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for five years. Davie is the author of multiple books and the holder of more than 40 U.S. Patents.

Prior to Facebook, his work spanned IoT, edtech, satellites, and network security at Microsoft, Zearn, MIT Space Systems Lab, and MIT Lincoln Lab, respectively. He has a B.S. from MIT in Computer Science and an M.Eng. from MIT in Computer Systems, with a thesis targeting scalable secure communication for resource-constrained systems.

Jennifer Rexford is the Gordon Y.S. Wu Professor of Engineering and the Chair of Computer Science at Princeton University. Before joining Princeton in 2005, she worked for eight years at AT&T Labs--Research. Jennifer received her BSE degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University in 1991, and her PhD degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Michigan in 1996. Her research focuses on computer networking. She is co-author of the book "Web Protocols and Practice" (Addison-Wesley, 2001) and co-editor of the book "She's an Engineer? Princeton Alumnae Reflect" (Princeton University, 1993). Jennifer received the ACM Grace Murray Hopper Award for outstanding young computer professional, the ACM Athena Lecturer Award, the NCWIT Harrold and Notkin Research and Graduate Mentoring Award, the ACM SIGCOMM award for lifetime contributions, and the IEEE Internet Award. She is an ACM Fellow, an IEEE Fellow, and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Sciences.
